Tiangou embodies dual natures, representing both benevolence and malevolence. In its positive interpretation, Tiangou takes the form of a dog evolved from an astrological constellation, standing as a guardian of world peace and tranquility. In its darker portrayal, however, Tiangou is the entity that devours the moon, casting darkness and shadow upon the world while extinguishing the brilliance of the full moon.
